System Remedies was a week-long exhibition presenting four emerging visual artists whose works realised solutions to the demands that a democratic structure can impose on individuals. The concept of System Remedies was primarily born out of the premise considered in philosopher Alain De Botton’s novel Status Anxiety. The exhibition was part of the Fringe Arts Bath Festival.
System Remedies was open from 12 – 17:00 with Matthew Hayes’s temporary cafe titled ‘Olney Social Club’ serving tea, coffee & lunch from 13:00 daily (closed Sundays).
